Tour Historic Bonaventure Cemetery - April 17
Compatriots,
You are invited to Tour Historic
Bonaventure Cemetery with us, on Saturday April 17th, 10:00 AM. Our
host will be the Bonaventure Cemetery Historical Society, President
Mrs. Tracy Doty. This is going to be a Confederate Tour and you who
have an interest in knowing our about our hero's that rest out there
will want to be a part of this event.
The Savannah Militia Camp #1657 with
the help of our many friends from other camps in our area have
recently sanded and repainted every Confederate Iron Cross of Honor
in the three major cemetery in Savannah. And this has added greatly
to the beauty of these cemeteries. This is a way our friends at the
BCHS can say thank you for all the very hard work.
I hope all of you that worked with us
will be able to come out on Saturday and see the fruit of your
labors. All SCV members their families and friends are invited.
Our Brothers of the F.S.Bartow Camp
#93 in Savannah, have in hand fifty new Iron Cross's of Honor and
fifty more on the way. Which they have purchased and we will join
with them in the coming months to help them in replacing some of
what has been stolen over the years. Good work men!!
